Today we’d like to introduce you to JJ Ortez.
Hi JJ, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have humble beginnings, I started working as a maintenance guy in an apartment complex in Austin, Tx where I used to clean the grounds, dog parks and clean out the trash compactor, it was hard work that I certainly did not enjoy, but I was making a decent living.
Later on, I moved back to Houston to pursue a career in property management where my real estate journey began.
I found success really fast in my new career where I enjoyed helping my clients find their new temporary home. I quickly developed a new set of skills in marketing, property management and outside sales.
Even though I loved my new career, I felt like I was needing something else; something bigger than myself.
I started working on my real estate license, my end goal was to help a couple of families a year, and that couple of families with time became something more than just a couple.
My social media marketing exploded and I quickly started gaining hundreds of thousands of followers overnight, with my new success in social media the new clients started knocking on my door including artists, athletes, celebrities and also the average hard-working Americans.
I became a top producer at my office and now I’m on the process of my buying my own home, which is mind-blowing. After helping so many families, my time has finally came.
I’m really excited for this new year, I have many goals that I’m already working on achieving.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to success has been and it continues to be really rough.
Success is not something that you can achieve overnight, I’ve been in real estate for 3 years now but my most successful year was till 2021.
I posted hundreds of posts on my Instagram for years without seeing any success, but that never stopped me from my goal.
Hard work and consistency is my #1 key for success.

I’m a real estate agent in the Houston area who specializes in luxury new construction.
My clients find me through my work, which I post on my IG.
I’m really proud that not only I’ve accumulated hundreds of thousands of followers, I also have helped many clients achieve the American dream. That’s my biggest accomplishment.
