Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Pachioli.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Joe. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Our doors opened on March 12, 2015, and since then we have hosted some of Houston’s most prestigious events. We have had celebrity clients perform such as Drake, Common, Aloe Blacc, Kenny Rodgers, and Pat Green, as well as Houston Texans and Astros Players marriage celebrations at our venue. We have hosted Houston’s most prestigious Galas including PetSet, Catwalk for a Cure, TIRR Foundation, Truffle Chef, and The Stages Gala.
We describe our venue as an Industrial chic 14,000 square foot event space designated by the city of Houston as a Historical landmark. The design concept draws from NYC’s revered Grand Central Station. The Astorian is a throwback to 1920’s glamour and art deco design. We offer a facility equipped with a fully functional kitchen and bar as well as floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views of downtown Houston.
Our design concept succeeds in catering to various types of events, to wit, weddings, corporate events, and galas.
Has it been a smooth road?
We have not looked back since the day we opened.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
What sets us apart from others is our commitment to be genuine in the sales process and give 100% in our efforts to please the client. Our reviews online are a testament to this. This is a people business and people are investing a lot in us when it comes to their special day. It is paramount for us that our customer service exceeds all expectations.
Another thing that sets us apart is how beautiful our space is. However, I strongly believe that no matter how beautiful the space is, if the service is not great, it will overshadow the beauty of a facility.
I am proud of creating something that thrives in this ultra-competitive market, but I am most proud of the staff I have and the sense of camaradery camaraderie [or comradery] amongst all of us.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Houston is a great city to do something like this in, if its a unique concept. The weather is terrible and everyone drives (nobody walks). This, in my opinion, forces people to create occasions or “events” in order to socialize.
We do not compete with mother nature here like California does, for example. The weather here, and its unpredictability forces all the events indoors, thus creating a perfect breeding ground for event spaces.
