Meet Joe Trevino of Advanced Solar Screens in Mont Belvieu and Baytown Area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Trevino.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Joe. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Back in 2002 I was sold solar screens for my house and fell in love with the product. At the time I was a sales representative for a local carpet company. Shortly after, I started selling solar screens for that same company in South Texas. I really enjoyed getting out there, meeting new people and being able to bring them a true quality product. By the end of 2003, I opened the doors to Advanced Solar Screens, We now have two locations one in South Texas and the other in Baytown, Texas.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have definitely been a few challenges along the way. I’d have to say that our biggest challenge has been that our product is somewhat seasonal. Learning to run a business year round regardless of the season, didn’t come naturally. However, those times have come and gone. We now have added other products to our line, like faux wood blinds, garage screen doors and patio screen rooms. As we continue to grow we will be adding more products that greatly benefit both our commercial and residential customers.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are a family owned and operated business that specializes in Solar Screens. We are known for our attention to detail and our customer service. What I am most proud of is the relationships that I am able to build with my customers. I have customers that continue to refer me, years after they’ve purchased their own screens. After being in this business this long I definitely know that not all screen companies are created equal. We are an A+ accredited member of the Better Business Bureau and have many reviews of happy customers.

What were you like growing up?
I started working at a very young age. Coming from a single parent household, growing up was tough. As a result I was very passionate, competitive and enjoyed the unity of family. I knew that I would always work hard at whatever I would do. Now as a husband, father and business owner those characteristics along with my faith is the make-up of who I am.
