Today we’d like to introduce you to Joey Blanchard.
Joey, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
One day in 2001 I was pressure washing my parents driveway and house in South Florida and during the course of the day several people stopped and asked if I would come give them an estimate to pressure wash their house when I was finished with this job. I told them that I was just doing this for my parents and I was not in business to do other pressure washing jobs. So it got me to thinking that this may be a good business to get into. After some research I decided that this may be a good opportunity and I started Power Pros Pressure Washing and have been going strong ever since.
Has it been a smooth road?
Luckily this has been a pretty smooth road for us. When we moved to Texas in 2009, we were concerned about making a name for ourselves here and getting business, but it didn’t take long and we were up and going strong as ever.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Power Pros Pressure Washing story. Tell us more about the business.
Power Pros Pressure Washing is a full-service residential and commercial pressure washing company. We specialize in the exterior cleaning of homes, businesses, driveways, patios, walkways, decks and fences. We also do staining and sealing of concrete, decks, fences, and also do garage floor coatings. We use a variety of cleaning techniques such as power washing, pressure washing, and soft wash (low pressure wash) using all biodegradable products to guarantee the best possible results for every job. We are family owned and operated and do not use any subcontractors for any of our jobs. Joey, the owner, is involved with every job that Power Pros does to make sure the job is done correctly and that the customers are happy.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In our industry, I see continuous work ahead. With the climate the way it is here in the Houston area, mold, mildew, dirt and grime will continue to accumulate on homes and businesses. People want to keep their homes and businesses clean and looking nice and the only way to do that is with pressure washing.
