Today we’d like to introduce you to John Pullings.
Hi John, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is John Pullings. I’m a Published Model, Photographer, and Creative Director based in Houston, Texas. Although it is only my second year as a professional artist, I’ve been featured in magazines, newspaper articles and have traveled to New York for creative projects. My journey is only at its beginning. It started with me finding my artistic path and consulting with other artists at socials for creatives here in Houston. From there, I have flourished through self-growth, rebranding and pushing my limits as an artist.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Being a true artist is never an easy journey. It requires you to be consistent and true to yourself and your craft; trusting your visions and capabilities. I’ve struggled with these things as well as others, but the key to overcoming these obstacles is to keep pushing. The focus is putting all your energy into everything you do.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Model/Photographer/Creative Director. My work is inspired by perspectives referencing futurism, surrealism, and architecture. I’m known for my authentic visuals and innovative concepts in photography, as well as specializing in lighting techniques. In my work, I am most proud of my endurance to produce consistent originality.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
As a kid, art was always a virtue. I wasn’t afraid of doing things my way. Taking ownership of my own path is something I always made a priority. I often saw art through life imitations. Being successful in the fashion and art world was and still is a dream I will achieve.
