Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan and Jahneiss Groce.
Jonathan and Jahneiss, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We met at work in 2009 and after a year of dating, we found out Jahneiss had cervical cancer. We continued dating, though the future was so uncertain. Fast forward 6 years, we are now married with a 3-year-old against the odds and pregnant with our second miracle. Jahneiss loses her job in order to carry our child and now, she is battling depression, a sense of belonging and worthiness. We decided that it was time to share our story 4 years later and now, we have embarked on a journey filled with hope, love, faith and deliverance for not only ourselves, but so many others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Success was never meant to be easy. If it were, so many would have achieved their goals at this point. It takes for you to truly dig deep within yourself and all you thought you knew about you. This is something that has allowed us to see flaws we didn’t even know existed, one’s that have truly held us back through this process. No, it has not been easy to wait for something you aren’t even sure will happen for you, something you are working so hard for. However, the reward is far greater than any rough terrain you may have experienced.
We feel the patience to see things unfold and upholding our work ethic despite our work not getting us closer to our goal at times has been the hardest. Remembering that who we are is truly enough and having faith in God during the process has been what has kept us grounded for so long.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are content creators. We display our life to inspire, motivate and encourage others. We are most proud of the fact that we don’t influence through our triumphs but more so through the journey to the triumphs. We pride ourselves on portraying a family who has overcome and made it to a more prosperous life by God’s grace and true dedication to each other and the promise we seek. We are best known for our love, that’s it! The love we show each other, the love we show our children and the love we show our community. It’s not a perfect love and we feel that’s what makes it so worth following along with!
Our authenticity is what we feel sets apart from the rest. We aren’t afraid to be unfavorable to some in order to be relatable to others. We truly enjoy not having to create content because we are the content.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is measured by your ability to sustain a level of joy and peace that this world can’t touch. Things can come and go, so can people. However, joy and peace should never be fleeting and should always be protected. Honestly, those two are the major ingredients to success. If you enjoy what you wake up to do every day and it brings you a sense of peace that you can’t explain, you will thrive in that journey, in that lane, because it will be effortless to uphold.
