Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathon Penney.
Hi Jonathon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Jonathon Penney and I was raised in a home with my three other siblings and a single mother. Spent some time in and out jail since I fourteen. I decided to my life for the better in my mid-20’s and that is when I met Brandee. Brandee was raised in a family-oriented home with her siblings and married parents. Brandee lived a sexually active life that involved a couple of abortions. Our relationship was all about sex and partying in the beginning. When we began to take our relationship seriously, we began to argue a lot due to our differences and improper communication. We had to separate a couple of times due to some disagreements and immaturity. We eventually resolved everything and started going to marriage conferences and attending marriage classes as we worked on our marriage. We started Fingerprint 2 Marriage Ministry so that we can give back to the people what God had given us. Stepping out on faith to teach others that there is only one fingerprint to a marriage and that fingerprint is God’s. Our faithfulness with this vision led us to establishing our future church (Conquering Life Worship Center International).
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was not a smooth road for us. We struggled with communication, trust, and financial issues.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Brandee is a manager for CarMax and I am a Driver/Warehouse Worker as we pursue full-time ministry under the guidance of our Bishop.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
All things work together for good when you trust in God.
