Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Yoo.
Hi Joseph, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We are a church plant that was supposed to launch in 2020, but like everyone else our plans got… derailed.
We officially launched as a church in September of 2021 and we are committed to letting everyone know they matter to God even if God doesn’t matter to us.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Inclusivity rubs ppl the wrong way often. To fight to belong, let alone exist, is something ppl should never have to do and yet here we are.
People will always be people and people will make the journey great and people will make the journey awful. And sometimes, it’s the same person who helps and hurts.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Episcopal Priest.
I’m proud that I’m able to help people see God in a different light.
What I and our church is known for, at least in Pearland is that we strive to provide safe space for the marginalized.
I think that also resonated with people who have found me online through my social media accounts.
I don’t know what really sets us apart from others.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I mean…
Ulysses writing app is where all my writing happens;
teleprompter/videoprompter is something most content creators should have.
