Today we’d like to introduce you to Joyce Ese.
Joyce, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Do what you love and never have to work a day in your life. Yeah, I’m living proof of that. I had to learn how to do my own hair at a very young age. By 11 years old, hair was a profitable business for me. When I was 15 years old, I took a cancer patient as my client for the first time.
Her tears of joy stabbed me in the heart like cupid. I fell in love with my talent/hobby. Almost 20 years have passed and my passion has become so fruitful that I had to share it with others who didn’t have the guidance I wish I had. So here we are, helping hair and people grow daily.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Most definitely not a smooth road. No one told me that another word for contractor was con-artist. I had to learn from major losses on my own. No investors or loans, just me and my comb lol. Also, “Good help is hard to find.” I never understood that phrase. I do now. At the end of the day, it’s all worth the smiles and happiness created daily.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
