Today we’d like to introduce you to Jueville Hagans.
Jueville, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My mother was a “kitchen beautician” but always focused on maintaining healthy hair. She went from brunette to blonde, from redhead to frosted tips but always maintained healthy hair by deep conditioning, wearing steam caps, and doing hot oil treatments. So all those techniques stayed with me through the years. My main goal is always to make my clients have strong, healthy hair, whether short, medium, or long lengths. I formulated Big Hair Oil about five years ago, initially for myself during my natural hair journey. As I researched different essential oils and the benefits and purpose for each, I realized how beneficial it could be to my clients and others who were also on a journey for healthier and stronger hair. So here I am now still building my brand and reaching others to educate them on how to maintain healthy hair.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t. Being in business brings constant lessons. There’s always something to perfect and new lessons to learn. You have to learn to find your balance and manage your time wisely.
A Different You Hair Salon/Big Hair Oil – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
A Different You Hair Salon specializes in healthy hair care, no matter the hair texture. I also offer unique and alluring hair coloring techniques. I am proud that my product works. The feedback that I receive from my customers makes my heart smile. I walk in my lane being my authentic self. I always do what works for myself and my business.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The reactions I receive from my clients when they receive the results they were anticipating and then some.
