Meet Justin Goudeau

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Goudeau.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Justin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve been singing since I was a kid. I had a choir teacher who recognized I could sing in elementary school. She made me sing all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth in the fifth grade for the annual Christmas program. When I got out of high school Ingot a little more serious about music. I started performing with some friends (Tim “Chali-T” Ford & Russell “Flame” Rolle) who started Faith-N-Fam Entertainment. We began performing in local clubs and bars throughout the Houston area and began to gain a little notoriety throughout the city. In 2007, I auditioned for David R Talbert & Morris Chestnut where I was selected to be on a reality show called “David Talbert’s stage black, which aired on TV One in 2008.

I was the first one kicked off the show lol. I move to Los Angeles in 2008 to do an internship with 8th Wonder Entertainment owned by Michael McQuarn (Brother of Tracey Edmonds). I lived in LA 4 years working a full-time job, interning with 8th wonder and doing shows periodically. In 2012, I moved back to Houston to complete my bachelor’s degree at Texas Southern University. I was in the long term degree plan and finally completed my degree in 2013. I released a project called “Young, Red & Gifted which is currently available on all streaming networks. I got married in 2015 to a beautiful woman named Jermeshia Goudeau (co-owner of “Braden real Estate Group”). She has been a great huge supporter of my music!! I just completed an R&B album entitled “FLAWED” which will be released January 24th, 2020. All songs written by myself and produced my Bottzworld Studios & Edwin Brown. I have a lot in the works for 2020.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a long road. There have been a bunch of successes and setbacks. I believe consistency is one of the hardest parts. Life has a way of slowing you up at times. At this point of my life, I’m going to push it as strong as possible and it helps to have so many great people in my corner.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I specialize in creating great music!! I’m a songwriter and looking forward to writing for more artists in 2020. I want to create timeless music with timeless artists.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Houston is a wonderful city for music. I don’t believe there is much focus for R&B. Most of The Who’s who in Houston tend to focus more on Rap music (my opinion). There are a number of great R&B artists in the city like Keith Jacobs &Jack Freeman.
