Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin, Dana Whitfield and Carmen Pool.
Justin, Dana and Carmen, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My wife and I owned a sports bar for 11 years and had put it up for sale. We didn’t know what path we were going to take next just that we were ready for a change. One day, I found out on FB that The Wildcatter was closing its doors in 4 days! My wife gave me a nudge to look into it. The next day, I made a deal with the owner to purchase the business and property! My next move was to partner up with Carmen Pool in the business.
Has it been a smooth road?
We set a record in sales for a month in our second month of operations. That was April of 2017. August 2017 was about to be our new record month… then Hurricane Harvey flooded us!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The wildcatter Saloon – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We have the MOST UNIQUE venue around! 3 1/2 acres of rustic scenery and three bars! Sand beach volleyball court, giant beer pong, tetherball, outdoor concert hall, etc… we specialize in big events and lots of fun!
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The people are the best! The flooding sucks!
