Hi Kacey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Wow! I can’t believe I’ve been here for four years! In that time, I’ve added clothes to my signature turquoise collection and honed in on the shows that really bring out “my” people!
I started with small dreams and a love of turquoise. Really, I just wanted an out to a corporate job so I could travel, be myself, and be happy!
That I’ve achieved. Next, I’m working on continuing to grow into larger shows, slightly rebranding to encompass the clothing aspect of my business, and really make my brand a reflection of me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggle is always present. I was so excited to get accepted into. Really big show at the end of last year. I encountered setback after setback, and the show was a complete flop. I think truly my first huge failure!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m most proud of my personal style – I’m often stopped for pics or for people to ask about where things are from. This isn’t something I’ve had to work at per se; I was born with it, and I’m so grateful!
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
To reinvent, you can’t stay stagnant and wait for things to go back the way they were. You have to figure out where the holes are and fill them.
