Today we’d like to introduce you to Kara Buse.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Kara. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a small town gal from the rivers of central Texas and was born with a soul call to create. My dad always nurtured this obvious side of me by encouraging me to take watercolor classes, guitar lessons and purchased me my very first camera. In high school, I signed up for every art & design class I could in a town that revolved around their football team. 😉 When it was time for me to decide what was next, I chose to enroll in Film and Video school, learning the entire creative process. But it wasn’t till after I received my bachelor’s degree that I truly found my own, and always developing (no pun intended), style and voice.
Has it been a smooth road?
This entire journey has been a learning experience at every turn. I have failed and gone about the growth in ways that have only taught me that it’s ok to make mistakes while learning!
I’ve found beauty in surrendering and allowing myself to flow with the current and not against it. There is great power in accepting that I’m not superhuman. And that if I don’t take the time to fully nurture myself, I am ultimately not giving the best version of myself to my work, my partner and my family. I owe this to both myself and to them.
We’d love to hear more about your work.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
The hill country of Texas has been my home and my source of inspiration since I was born. So yes, I do feel like it’s a wonderful place to start a business. And honestly, with the world wide web, being in a city anywhere in the world is a great place to start your dream business.
