Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Amos.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Karen’s Make Ready Services started in 2008 with providing specialty home, apartment and commercial cleaning. We provide professional detailed cleaning for customers that need moving in/out, after renovation, junk removal, and recurring cleaning. My motto is to do what is best for the customer and accommodating their request. I am successful today due to outstanding customer service. We service Houston and surrounding areas.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being in business is never a smooth road we have faced obstacles along the way. Make Ready Services is seasonal the peak months are Mid March to September and business is slow from December through February. The struggle to stay in business during the slow season is a task but we have survived since 2008.

It’s also a competitive market so I’m thankful for Google and Facebook business page reviews from customers. New customers love to hear how my previous customers felt about my services.

Please tell us about Karen’s Make Ready Services.
We specialize in detailed professional cleaning. The services provided are move in or move out cleaning, after renovation cleaning, junk removal and hauling, and recurring home cleaning. We are known for leaving homes smelling fresh and clean with Karen’s Peppermint Kleaner.

I’m most proud of helping others to get their home on the market for sale or rent. We aim to accommodate customer needs. I treat each customer home like my very own to provide professional quality services.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is living on the farm with my grandparents feeding the animals and helping to grow vegetables and fruit.
