Meet Karishma Patel of KPFITSTYLE in Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karishma Patel.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Karishma. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started this blog about three years ago because I wanted to share my fitness journey. I didn’t think much of it because I was honestly trying to motivate myself, but then more people started following and messaging me about their journeys. It turned from me doing something for me to doing it for the women that are feeling the same way. I wanted more women that were going through a difficult time like me to open up and share their stories with me. I am nothing without the support of my family, friends and this community so them pushing me with their love and support is how I got here today. I’m still learning and continue you to because you can never stop learning and growing.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Every journey has its ups and downs, and so does mine. I still have bad days, but I count the good days. This was a passion that I always wanted to pursue but was too scared because of what other people would say, but I would say you have to go for it! My biggest struggle, even today, is always wondering what others will say or if I’m good enough because when I did first start, there were a lot of negative comments about me and my page, so it brought me down a little bit. I remember those times and keep pushing through because this is what makes me happy. My parents always told me that people are always going to talk about you no matter how good or bad you’re doing in your life and that you have to learn to block out that noise and keep on doing what you need to do for you!

Please tell us about work.
Well, kp.fitstyle was just a random name I came up with because I love wearing cute workout clothes, mainly because that motivates me to have an even better workout! I mean, when you look cute, you feel good about yourself! My goal was always to promote body positivity and positive vibes by spreading positivity with everything you do! We need that right now, more than ever. Then a few years later, it’s turned into something much more than I imagined it to be. This community’s love and support is so amazing!

I’m the proudest of how I’ve made a difference in some people’s lives. I never knew that my words and actions would help someone even if it’s just one person it is so inspiring to be able to do that for young women. It truly is so empowering to empower other women! We need to keep doing that! It’s also made me so proud of myself, we forget to give ourselves credit, but it’s important to take a moment to give yourself a clap on the back. I love what I’m doing, and I will continue to share love and positivity to those who need it. I don’t just do it for me. I do it for the young women that are struggling to find their voice.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, I wouldn’t change anything because everything I did, every decision I made, every struggle I have faced has led me to be who I am today. I’ve never been so proud of myself!
