Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathryn Durkin.
Kathryn, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I went to Texas Tech University, not knowing what exactly I wanted to study but that my passion is helping others. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Public Relations, knowing that I could use my degree to advocate, speak out, and overall, help people with their passions.
Fast forward to the year 2018, where I started working at Mad Meg. I’ve been lucky to help so many local businesses market themselves, take their product to market, better the community, and be a voice for the voiceless. The past year and a half has been rewarding and life-changing, and I’m just getting started. Marketing is so much more than selling a product. It’s about connecting with people.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a smooth road with bumps along the way, but each bump has pushed me out of my comfort zone and given me the opportunity to grow. The biggest challenges I’ve faced are navigating through life’s “no’s” or “not right now” and breaking through those setbacks to get to my dream career – publicizing brands and people and sharing their stories with the world.

Mad Meg is a boutique creative services firm specializing in social media management, public relations, web design, branding and graphic design. We’re most proud of our determination and motivation. Five years into our business, we’re in the process of building our reputation, not resting on it. We don’t have inherited accounts or decade-old relationships to count on. We’re hustling everyday to deliver the best product for our clients.
