Meet Katrina Cavello of K.Cavello Team in Katy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Cavello.

Katrina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My story is quite interesting however we will keep it focused on my wonderful career in real estate, I have been licensed in real estate since 2007. I started with Keller Williams in Pearland, a small city outside Houston very close to the medical center. I was so excited to be able to work for myself and even more excited about the income potential that I was told about as a student at champion school of real estate.

Within my first year I was able to tackle down several listings that ranged between 450k to 600 K , my broker was quite impressed with me I must say, however, that soon changed as we came upon the real estate bubble bust that so many cities’s across America had been experiencing. I soon lost my listings and came upon a very hard time in my life financially speaking. I’m a mother of Five beautiful children and was quite concerned about our future. I decided to leave KW and venture out to another broker, My Castle Realty , there I met Gary Bisha a wonderful mentor that helped me through the tough years and gave me knowledge about FSBO’s. I also owned Murphy’s deli next door so I did both real estate and management of my deli, not to mention five rambunctious kids!!

Fast forward to 2016, the toughest year of my life, we lost my dear husband and the father to my children, quite unexpected and right before my oldest was to graduate high school. We made it they with the grace of God thank goodness, with that being said, I took a break from real estate for almost a year. Until February of 2017 I was revert by Raul Villalobos with The Gayden team at REMAX GRAND. I was so excited to jump back into real estate and started right at the bottom as a inside sales agent. I made brutal calls to expired and terminated listings leads with a dialer system that seemed to never stop!!’ I was determined to learn everything I could about how to be successful again in real estate.

After about 90 days of making a bunch of appointments for the team, I decided I was ready to transition to a buyers agent for the team, it was sooooo much work!! They was giving me leads left and right, well after a few months I knew this was not the area I wanted to shine in, I’m a listing agent and a darn good one!! So I decided to start my own networking and target marketing and wouldn’t you know it. I got me a 1.1 million dollar listing , that’s when I decided to go independent and left The Gayden team and started K. Cavello Team, with the help of a very close friend we put our heads together and got our office, marketing plans, and a few independent agents to join our team as well as inside sales agents to make appointments for our team.

We have weekly meetings on goals and just started our first 90 listings in 90 days contest:) I’m excited to take reward them with a wonderful vacation to Jamaica after we reach our target! I am also working on my first home flip that is set to complete in 45 days and go in the market!!!

Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely not smooth, with the many market changes over years to the death of my husband I would say nowhere near smooth, but I like a challenge and I believe in faith not fear!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The K.Cavello Team is a small group of real estate professionals that range from buyers agents to listing specialists, marketing, and computer software solutions and transactions coordinating.

We specialize in new home listings as well as resale listings and home rehabilitation. I am most proud of my team members and my broker at Remax! I think what sets us apt from others is our willingness to let our Team members grow to there full potential and to reach final freedom to a level that is life changing, not to mention the professional media packages and target marketing platform.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Most definitely! This city has so many facets of opportunity that can range from small boutique mom and pop storefronts to huge law firms that expand globally. I would strongly suggest a better flood control system to aid in the prevention of heartbreaking events such as hurricane Harvey and last years memt day flooding
