Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaye Williams.
Kaye, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always had a love or as my family would call it a need for helping others. My family moved here from Trinidad when I was eight years, and I always saw my parents work so hard for everything they had. My love for real estate started when I helped my mom find her first home. I did all the work and the agent made the commission, but he piqued my interest into another passion I didn’t know was there.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The challenges I have faced in my business I would say would be moving back to Houston from Los Angeles after five years and having to rebuild my network and business contacts.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Kaye Williams Realty Group story. Tell us more about it.
My husband and I decided to move back to Houston from Los Angeles to start our real estate business endeavors. We started Lance Equity Partners to provide affordable housing throughout Houston and surrounding areas. However, my passions are still around helping families to find and sale their home. So, I provide my clients with the service that my mother should’ve received when she purchased her first home. I assist first-time homebuyers to investors through the home buying process. By being an investor, I’ve been able to help my clients through unique circumstances. If you buy/list a $100k home with me or a $1M+ home you will receive the same family like treatment.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck is a word that I don’t really use often. I believe in what I do and I work hard for the people around me. I work hard to make others lives better in any way I can.
