Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Davis
Hi Kayla, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our party business ‘Family Parties and More’ is family owned by myself and my sister in law. We initially started with balloons for birthday parties in 2019 and loved the feedback from the people who saw our work. In 2022, the name Family Parties and More was created. After a bad experience from another rental company we hired, I had a clear idea of the type of business to introduce to everyone. A family oriented party business that can offer reliable services, which is what clients need. We offer table/chairs rentals, marquee number rentals, canopy rental and balloon backdrop decorations serving the greater Houston area . Our goal is to help others create delightful memories one party at a time. The most rewarding part of our job is when we see our clients reaction to our work.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes there are some struggles just like any other business. Managing time, working with social media, marketing, and staying afloat with competition. Through all of that we still maintain a positive attitude and push through the days to continue our hardwork.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Fun fact I worked in the Dental field for 15 years, prior to the start of the party business. I have always had a magic touch when creating anything. We enjoy gathering all the information from what the clients want and bring it to life. We take pride in being professional and courteous. We were raised on the “treat others how you’d want to be treated.”
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
For myself, personally attending mass is one of the key pieces to balance life. It helps so much with relaxation and bring so much perspective in life.
