Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Henderson.
Hi Kayla, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
A little bit about me, I’ve always had a desire to see others thriving in every area of their life, especially the younger generation. Strive Forward came about as a vision that was given to me by God and through prayer and wisdom, the organization was birthed.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Anytime someone sets out do something that will positively impact others, the road is never smooth (ha..ha). In life and in trying to build a business, I’ve faced opposition, rejection, closed doors, challenges financially, etc. However, even through hard times, my relationship with God has kept me rooted and has given me the strength that I need to still keep going when it gets tough.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Strive Forward is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and we provide scholarships for graduating seniors while also equipping them to make sound financial decisions through our financial literacy program. It excites me knowing that Strive Forward is assisting today’s youth in meeting their educational goals. I’ve learned that despite the opposition, you must keep STRIVING FORWARD because the purpose of what you are doing will always be greater than the opposition you may be facing. Strive Forward is committed to being a source of hope for today’s youth.

Forward – onward so as to make progress; toward a successful conclusion.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I consider myself to be a wise risk taker (haha). I believe in order to ascend to certain heights in life, you have to take risks. I’m not afraid to try, start, or build something. Yes, I have taken some major risks. I’ve started a real estate investment business and dealing with real estate in itself is a risk. There’s no way you can enter into that industry without taking some sort of risk.
