Meet Kelli Anderson of Inspired Preschool in Spring and Klein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelli Anderson.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I got inspired back in 2015, when we were on the search for a safe preschool, with a strong academic program, for my then one-year old. I was not satisfied in my search, so I then began to vision the type of program I would be able to provide to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers within our local communities. I knew that my 15 years of experience in academic coaching, administration, curriculum writing, and classroom best practices would greatly benefit any preschool program. A good preschool education is a big factor in a child’s academic success later in life. Out of this, Inspired was born!

Has it been a smooth road?
Going from public education to an entrepreneur is a challenge in itself. There is so much to learn about the entrepreneur world, and I know we have only scratched the surface. But what I do know, is what a child needs to be successful, what teachers need to be inspirational, and what parents need to know that their child is safe at all times!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Inspired Preschool – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Inspired is a safe, academic environment focused on higher education. I have reached out to over 20 colleges for support, and have received feedback and partnership from almost all of them. Inspired will be the home of Future Fridays. Upon registration, our students receive a back pack and two shirts from the college of their…I mean their parents…choice. Students bring their backpacks every day and wear their shirts every Friday.

Inspired has 4 programs built into one school, all designed to meet the growing demands of each child at the designated ages. Inspired Infants serving 6 weeks to 12 months focused on building the child socially, emotionally, physically, and educationally. Inspired Toddler University serves 12-24 months, and begin to explore core content areas and sign language. Inspired Preschool serves 24-36 months where students will start to experience the Academy life by still learning in their home campus, but utilizing our Inspired Cafe, Activity Room, and Imagination Creation for art, music, technology, and Spanish. Inspired Academy will serve students from 36-pre-k graduation in an Academy like setting, rotating each day as they dive deeper into content areas. The rotation includes a Math Academy, a Science Academy, a Social and Character Study, and a Reading and Writing Academy.

Inspired is designed to prepare the young mind for a 21st century education!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the emphasis that Klein has on its educational programs. KleinISD is well known for serving our community, and providing our students with a great education. I am so excited to feed Klein and Spring schools with some PREPARED students who have graduated from Inspired and love learning because we have showed them how too!

I can’t say I dislike anything about our city. Each part of our city is so unique and has so many things to offer. If anything, I would love to see our city not so segregated, and allow equal opportunities to everyone for good jobs, a good education, and a safe community no matter which part of the city you live in.
