Meet Kelly Marsh of Drive2u in Cypress

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Marsh.

Kelly, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My company Drive2u was created after working for Texas Department of Public Safety – Driver’s License Division for 4 years administering Road Test to obtain a driver’s license. I started Drive2u after I left DPS because I would see so many drivers making the same mistake over and over because they did not know what it took to pass the DPS Road Test.

My goal is to help you practice today and drive tomorrow. I will start you off by learning inside and outside of the car to actually drive out of a parking lot. As I am making this dream come true- I would like to cater to your special needs child who may have a disability, make them feel comfortable behind the wheel and gain confidence that “they too can drive”.

Has it been a smooth road?
I started with a vision of wanting to set a goal of 1 year to become an independent instructor, in less than 10 months my reality evolved with just a few hundred dollars and purchasing a car. Business was built off referrals from the beginning and has grown so much since I have begun private 1-on-1 driving lessons in October 2016.

First of all, Drive2u is not a school. I’m a private Certified Driving Instructor, Certified with TDLR-Texas Department of Regulatory Services in Austin, Texas.

-If you’re a parent who selected Online Parent Taught Course, I can put your student in the car to begin the basic driving when you 2nd guess “oh no, not me- I can’t do this”.

-Adult who has never driven and want to Learn2Drive

-Parallel Parking or Road Test Prep to check to make sure driving looks good, refresher Lesson.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Cypress is a growing area and has so much to offer. It gives me the opportunity to homeschool my 10-year-old daughter and flexible scheduling for the family. The least thing about the city is 290 traffic!
