Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Perkins.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been a real estate agent here on Lake Conroe for 7 years. I grew up south of Houston, but call Montgomery and the Lake Conroe area “home” now.
I moved here to be closer to family, and to enjoy the lake life year round. Little did I know – this place would capture my heart, and my career would take off.
My degree is in Marketing, which pairs so well with real estate.
My specialty is helping clients find their dream waterfront lake house here on Lake Conroe. There are so many unique details to keep in mind when purchasing a waterfront home, and I’m here to walk my clients through the entire process. From water depth for boating, to bulkhead maintenance, to boat slip repair – I have become a local expert on waterfront home purchasing.
I work for Lake Conroe Realty Group – which is with the Compass brokerage. Our team works together on every single transaction to ensure that our clients are always taken care of. We treat all of our clients like family!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Shortly after I became licensed – Covid hit. Real estate on Lake Conroe skyrocketed – so while most occupations around the world were stuck at home – I was hitting the roads and probably the busiest I’ve ever been. So many people were able to work from home all of a sudden – and so a lot of people wanted to live on Lake Conroe. It was a crazy time, but I learned so much in a very short amount of time.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Lake Conroe Realty Group – COMPASS?
We have a team of 3 ladies – we work together so well, and have become best friends as well as co-workers over the past several years. Our team members are Michele Chrisner – specializing in listing coordinating, Jessi Fleming – specializing in listings and contract management, and Kelly Perkins – specializing in buyers and marketing.
We support each other 100% – and are always stepping in to help each other out. Our clients love that we work together so well, and there is always someone available at all times to accomodate a showing, or write a contract, etc.

Our team founders, Jamie and Allison Yancy, definitely deserve so much credit. They started the Lake Conroe Realty brand almost 25 years ago, and grew it into a household name around Lake Conroe. They are still involved in the business and continue to mentor us. We are so blessed that they trust us to continue their legacy.
