Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendra Hall.
Kendra, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Reset was birthed through a desire to see people encouraged. I absolutely love encouraging people. We all are walking through some sort of adventure in life and it gets hard….real hard at times.
I started with mentoring young women that I would encounter. I also mentor for the school district where I work. We work with teens trying to navigate their way through their own process and who may be having somewhat of a difficult time. This led to people asking me to speak at different women’s events, conferences, churches and shelters.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has been one with winding turns and curves but I won’t let that discourage me. Most people want someone of notoriety to come and speak at their events. I do believe that what is meant for me will be regardless of what the situation may be.
Please tell us about Reset Motivational Speaking.
Reset Motivational Speaking has one goal. That is to show the power of one. From encouraging, loving on others, helping people understand how to forgive. Why should we forgive. The list of things that are touched upon will vary based upon the need of the individual(s).
What I am most proud of as a company is to know that we genuinely care. Anyone can turn on a camera and just go for it. But what is in the heart will show through how you make others feel. I once read a quote that stated, “People will sometimes forget what you did or what you said. But they will never forget how you made them feel.”
What sets us apart is the belief that no one is too far gone. If we still have a pulse, we still have a purpose here and there is much to be done. It is important to let people know that they too can soar!!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Whatever you put in you is what you are going to get out. In the beginning, I allowed myself to talk myself out of things. Fear is paralyzing and it can take you down and out. So I would have more confidence that I was created for this.
