Meet Kenni Bulger of The Carriage House in North Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenni Bulger.

Kenni, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My daughter was married almost 8 years ago. We had a fantastic time planning her wedding day!

While attending the Bridal Extravaganza at George R Brown Convention Center, the realization came that all of this fun wedding stuff was actually a HUGE industry. Oh, wow! The seed had been planted.

I had been working for an anesthesia practice for 15 years, managing their business office when the group decided to sell the practice to a large national corporation. I knew fairly quickly that the corporate environment was not a good fit for me so I began thinking of what my “second act” in life could look like. The seed that had been planted a couple years prior began to sprout. My husband and I began our research and we eventually grew our ideas into this magnificent wedding venue… our chandelier barn… The Carriage House.

Our reviews are the story of our success and our success is built on the effort and goal of making every bride feel as if their wedding day at our venue is our one and only. We have an incredibly devoted staff here at The Carriage House and we are all truly invested in each and every wedding day. It’s never just another wedding to us, as every wedding day is so very unique, from the bride & her dress to the guests that attend. We are truly blessed to be a part of these most special days and privileged to meet so many wonderful brides, grooms, friends & families, and vendors too.

On the wedding day, a talented group of vendors merges into one team to bring together all facets of her vision. and magic happens… every weekend… here at The Carriage House.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Within the past three years, several wedding venues have been built in our immediate area requiring that continual improvement and expansion be considered. In this regard, we decided about a year and a half ago that we wished to add a chapel to our wedding venue property. The chapel was completed earlier this year and has added a stunning and complementary ceremony alternative to our existing outdoor site.

Although the chapel addition was a major undertaking, we also continue to improve the landscaping and other elements of our physical property to keep it extremely attractive and appealing. In addition to the challenges of assuring that the venue property is always at its best, we have also increased our service options.

An all-inclusive service option, which includes catering, DJ, wedding cake, etc., has been packaged to relieve the bride and her family if they choose from much of the planning effort while assuring that the highest level of service is always delivered. Although a challenge, providing this alternative service has been a fun, rewarding and successful undertaking.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with The Carriage House – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
The Carriage House Wedding and Events venue is in a country setting just minutes from The Woodlands… tucked away from lights of the city.

We can accommodate up to 300 guests in our stunning reception hall. And with only one event per day, you have the property undisturbed for a full 14 hours. Our outdoor ceremony site sits amongst the manicured gardens, offering a crystal chandelier arbor with a backdrop of the pond and fountain to host the nuptials. Our newly built Camellia Chapel is full of romance, charm, and vintage-inspired details.

While inside both the reception space and chapel, you will feel a part of the outdoor setting with walls of windows that overlook our pond and ceremony site. The adjacent back patio and covered porch offer a unique setting for a cocktail hour, complete with an outdoor wine bar.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Simply put… Our future plans are to continue to deliver the highest level of service to the bride, groom and their families on their most special day, and continue to receive five-star reviews that attest to our dedication and attention to detail.
