Today we’d like to introduce you to Keona Johnson.
Keona, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
About three years ago, my Dad had a t-shirt machine at home. He knew I used to always say secure the bag, so he pushed me to put it on a t-shirt. After that I started to broadcast it on social media and wear it everywhere, I went. When I did that it became a big hit on social media and I started to take orders for t-shirts with names on the back or any kind of customization. After I realized the amount of orders, I was receiving a week, it pushed me to start making more custom designs to catch people’s eyes and make them want to continue shopping with me. This business then became what I was known for and my life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Of course with any business sometimes you have slow weeks and sometimes certain weeks are better than others, but I never give up.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Secure The Bag Custom Clothing story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a custom clothing business, I make customized shirts for graduations, birthdays, etc. I am known for the saying “securethebag” and my # sold item are my beanies and hats with my securethebag man logo on then. As a company I am most proud of selling so any clothes and getting so many orders at my age. My motivation and Hussle is what sets me apart from others, I want to take care of my family and show everyone that you can start from nothing and follow your dreams.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I honestly don’t think I have any good or bad “luck” anything I have received is giving from god and I would call that blessing and anything that has been taken from me has been taken for a reason.
