Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberlene Lanier.
Hi Kimberlene , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Queen Kimberlene Lanier, known by her Enstooled name Queen Uhuru Wingi, is an Enstooled Queen in Uganda, Africa, an ordained Pastor, licensed Crisis Chaplain, and award-winning grant writer whose work spans faith, leadership, and global community transformation.
After more than 30 years in the Oil and Gas industry—where she managed over $10 billion in global assets for BP, Chevron, and Exxon—Queen Uhuru Wingi transitioned her executive expertise into purpose-driven leadership. She is the Founder of The Love International Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to healing, empowerment, and resource development for underserved communities, and CEO of LifeTouch Global Community, a consulting firm that builds strategic initiatives in education, workforce development, and social impact.
Her programs and partnerships address systemic inequities in areas such as justice reform, foster care, healthcare, and economic mobility. She has collaborated with the City of Houston and the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Hospital, co-chairing the Stand Down initiative to support veterans and their families.
A sought-after speaker and advocate, Queen Uhuru Wingi has been featured on national platforms including the U.S. Department of Justice’s Victims of Violent Crimes Conference. She also hosts The Morning Mocha—an inspirational broadcast—and leads The Wellness Group, a healing circle for women recovering from trauma.
Her forthcoming book, “Recovering Myself,” offers a six-step guide to overcoming trauma and ending toxic relationships. With a message anchored in faith, restoration, and empowerment, Queen Uhuru Wingi continues to inspire transformation across communities and nations.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Her journey was not smooth—she is an overcomer of the very challenges she now helps others conquer through the same tools and resources she so passionately advocates for. Housing insecure, extreme abuse, etc
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
