Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Doherty.
Kimberly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Lone Stars breeding program originates from the Gleanloch Farm bloodlines and has been breeding Straight Egyptians for over 15 years. We started with just one straight Egyptian Arabian but it was just not enough our business grew until we had horses boarding all across Texas. That was when we bought 42 acres of land in Magnolia TX so we could have our own facility to breed train and sell Arabians. Our farm can now board up to 34 horses, we have a covered arena, sitting room, 2 wash racks, a walker, and many grass filled fields for the horses to enjoy. Lone Star Arabians now has over 20 horses and is dedicated to not just the breeding and training of our own horses but also client’s horses. We train Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, and Halter.
Please tell us about Lone Star Arabians.
We train, breed, and board Arabians. We specialize in the Halter division but also Train Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure and Sidesaddle. We have an amazing facility that has everything a horse owner could want including a covered arena, large green fields, a round pen, individual tack lockers, 2 wash racks, a walker, trails to ride on, special birthing stalls and great handlers that will take care of every horses’ individual needs.
We are most known for our phenomenal Straight Egyptian Arabians that have exquisite bloodlines and are very competitive in the show ring. We are different from other farms in that we do not just offer one service but many. The Trainer at Lone Star Arabians Kimberly Doherty can train riders and their horses western, hunter, or halter and Lone star also offers board to people who are interested in breeding.
