Kimbriana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a native houstonian, I am passionate about my community’s growth and expansion. I am fulfilled when I am able to assist my community in achieving their residential real estate goals. I started out in the healthcare field with over 10+ years of experience but I’ve always known interior styling was my niche. With my interest in real estate, I figured why not combine both affordable interior styling and real estate to make my client’s experience unique and seamless, like a “one stop shop.” By making the industry leap from healthcare to real estate and interior styling, I bring a sense of caring and compassion for my clients that can’t be matched. Acclimated to tirelessly advocating on her patient’s behalf, now I do so for each of my clients, by understanding their wants and needs. I studied Business Management at the University of Houston, which helped me to develop an array of analytical, strategically oriented and communication skills that are much needed in this competitive industry. I am compelled by any and everything dealing with the home.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing worth it is ever just handed to you but to me that’s the beauty of it, seeing your hard work pay off despite all the setbacks is the true reward. The transition period of a traditional workplace environment to entrepreneurship can be challenging at times. There are many ups and downs we are bound to face in our day to day and I had to learn not to sweat the small stuff. I try to learn from all my experiences whether good or bad.
Braden Real Estate Group and Kamillestate Interior Styling – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a licensed Realtor with Braden Real Estate Group and owner of Kamillestate Interior Styling. Specializing in first time home buyers, buying/selling residential real estate, real estate investing and affordable interior styling. In all my experiences in life, I always remember how I was treated. I give my clients the utmost respect. I want them to feel comfortable and safe with me by providing a stress-free experience. By offering both real estate and interior styling, it is a convenience for my clientele. In the world we’re living in today everyone is looking for convenience.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as happiness. As long as I’m happy in doing what I’m doing I feel I am successful. When you actually enjoy what you do, it shows.
