Today we’d like to introduce you to Kizzy Cassell.
Kizzy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Pink Roses By Kizzy is a 501c3 non-profit organization that strives to empower girls and young women all around the world to be strong, confident, and conscious of all that they hold within. Our mission is to Mentor, Uplift and Inspire girls and young women by promoting healthy self-images, self-esteem, positive leadership skills and linkage to a lifelong mentor.
Pink Roses By Kizzy was established in November 2013 by Kizzy Cassell. Pink Roses helps teach girls the fundamental value of knowing they have the right to not only be themselves but to also express themselves with originality and enthusiasm, to take risks, strive freely and take pride in their success. Having two daughters, I know the importance of being a strong successful female role model for others to look up to. My goal through Pink Roses By Kizzy is to reach as many young girls and women as possible and inspire them to be their very best.
How I Got Started:
I remember my daughter coming home every day telling me stories about her school friends who were being abused, bullied and more. I felt that starting a program that was new and exciting could be an outlet for girls to express themselves. If I could be nothing but an ear for them to vent and to let them know they do have someone that believed in them, that could actually help would mean the world to them. Me being a woman that was once a child that was bullied and molested, I know how it once felt. I can relate. And, I understand that in this crazy world we live in, positive programs like Pink Roses By Kizzy are needed.
Where I am today:
Pink Roses By Kizzy has been successful in throwing huge mentoring events, sleepovers and spa events. We have thrown some of the biggest children’s fashion shows in Columbus, Atlanta, and New York (with plenty more cities to come). I have worked with thousands of young women and young men and look forward to touching as many lives as this world allows!
Where I am going:
We will begin filming our Pink Roses By Kizzy reality show in the near future, keep throwing the biggest children’s fashion shows, all while continuing to mentor young women and young men all over the world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been an easy road at all. I have never left a show with a profit. I started my organization with my rent and bill money. I have lost houses, cars and more trying to live out my dreams. Being a wife and a mother of four, it has been hard as an entrepreneur starting with absolutely nothing. I didn’t think for one second it would be easy. But, the empire I am building for my family is necessary. I live and breathe Pink Roses By Kizzy. I love what I do! I have run lots of businesses. Some not as successful, but most have been. Each business has taught me valuable lessons and has molded me into the successful entrepreneur that I am today.
Please tell us about Pink Roses By Kizzy LLC.
I am known as the Founder of Pink Roses by Kizzy and the Founder of the clothing brand “Team NO Sleep.” I am known for being a go-getter that throws a huge event. I have been to hell and back and have never stopped working towards my goal. I started the clothing brand in 2016 called: “Team No Sleep.” At the time that I started the line a lot of my friends were just starting businesses. We were doing everything but sleeping. “Team No Sleep” is a group of leaders, movers and innovators in a respective field who has made it or is still pushing their way to the top. They are believing in their dreams, working hard and doing what they love. “Team No Sleep” is a mindset that as long as we have 24 hours on the clock we don’t stop.
What am I most proud about:
I am proud that Pink Roses By Kizzy is now a household name. I never imagined being able to do fashion shows in multiple cities. I am proud to know that my reality tv show is coming soon. And, I am most proud of being able to help young women and men everywhere live out their dreams.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I would say going to see New Edition with all of my cousins.
