Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Krueger.
Kyle, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After getting divorced and being in a career that was going nowhere, I started to ask myself some hard questions. Who am I? Why is my life unmanageable? What do I enjoy doing? What do I want to do with my life? How did I get in this position? Why am I here? Why can’t I concentrate on my loved ones and dreams?
The addiction that I tried to stop had become my master. I was spending every waking moment in obsession and compulsivity about getting my fix. Life became dark and hopeless. How dark it is before the dawn! I stopped making excuses and got to work on myself. After accepting myself as I was, I was now able to move forward into a new way of living. I became reachable and teachable. I started to invest in my recovery.
The next three years were filled with recovery meetings, self-care, yoga, and a shamanic apprenticeship. Glimpsing this new way of living motivated me to become a yoga teacher and shaman. My passion is to help others on their unique journey of self discovery. Also, I realized that what holds a lot of people back is their beliefs about themselves. I have a passion for helping others on this journey called “Life.” That’s what makes me happiest in this world. To see a mind open up to the power of believing in oneself. To see human potential fully realized. To see the power of human love transcend any barrier and bear any burden.
“Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth!” – Buddha
Has it been a smooth road?
Absolutely not! Addiction, divorce, career change, and recovery have been major challenges and obstacles in my life.
Please tell us about the business.
White Shaman Yoga creates a safe environment where individuals can explore their inner landscape. Through a combination of yoga, meditation, and shamanic healing, clients gain insights from their inner world. Utilizing a partnership model wherein the client is considered to be the expert on his or her life, the one who decides what is worth doing, and providing expertise in supporting successful change—focusing on achieving any goals important to the client. Asking questions and offering reflections to help the client evaluate and make principle-based decisions, creating a clear plan of action, and using current strengths to reach future goals.
Mission – Empowering people to heal themselves.
Vision- To see my clients reach their dreams and aspirations while inspiring them to embody their spiritual power.
I specialize in personal development. I use shamanic traditions and tools to help people embody their natural essence. I’m known most for my shamanism practice, positive vibes, big heart, and loving nature. I’m most proud of bringing back ancient techniques for health and wellness into my world community. I think it starts with healing ourselves and exploring our inner shadows. The work I’ve done and continue to do helps me be helpful for my clients. What sets me apart? I wouldn’t say I like this question because I think we all can inspire and help others regardless of the work we’ve done. However, I think it’s very important that one has experienced and practiced shamanism to be a guide to others.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the people, coffee shops, yoga scene, trees, amazing museums, art, music, Buffalo Bayou Park & trees, Rothko Chapel, Menil Collection Green Spaces, and it’s amazing food!!
What I like the least are the petrochemical plants, destabilization of the Katy Prairie, traffic, potholes, politics, and concrete.
