Hi Lacari, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been passionate about beauty, fashion, and embracing my Southern belle roots. Even in college, it was important to me to always feel put together. Keeping my hair done, getting dressed up, and taking pride in my appearance wasn’t about perfection, it was something that genuinely made me feel confident and prepared for whatever the day brought.
At the same time, I was focused on my education and knew I wanted to earn my MBA. That was a personal goal of mine because I wanted to build a strong foundation for my future and create opportunities for myself beyond a traditional career path.
After finishing my MBA, I started thinking more intentionally about becoming business minded and creating multiple streams of income while doing something I genuinely enjoyed. Content creation started as a fun hobby and a creative outlet where I could share my love for hair, beauty, and lifestyle. I never expected it to grow into something more, but the more I created, the more I realized I loved connecting with people and helping others discover products and routines that made them feel confident and put together.
Now I get to combine my passion for beauty, hair, and feminine lifestyle content with my love for creating and growing something of my own. I’m still the same girl who loves feeling put together, but now I get to share that passion with a community that appreciates authenticity, confidence, and finding joy in the little things every day.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. While I was working toward my MBA, school consumed so much of my time and energy. I was focused on classes, projects, and building my future, and there wasn’t much room to explore my creative side. Even though I always loved beauty, hair, and getting dressed up, those passions often had to take a back seat.
Now, being able to embrace my “corporate Barbie” lifestyle has been so refreshing. I love balancing my professional goals with a creative outlet that lets me express a different side of myself. Creating content gives me the opportunity to share my love for beauty, hair, and feminine lifestyle while connecting with other women who enjoy feeling confident and put together.
There have definitely been challenges, from learning how to stay consistent to figuring out social media and building a community, but I’ve realized that I don’t have to fit into just one box. I can be business minded, career focused, and still enjoy the fun, creative side of life. Finding that balance has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
By day, I work in healthcare administration, where I focus on operations, organization, and creating systems that help teams provide the best possible care. It’s a role that allows me to combine problem solving, leadership, and strategic thinking while making a meaningful impact behind the scenes.
A lot of my work ethic comes from my parents. My mom is a nurse, and growing up I watched her dedicate herself to caring for others with compassion and resilience. My dad is a businessman who taught me the value of discipline, consistency, and thinking beyond the present. Seeing both of them work hard in different ways shaped the way I approach my own career and inspired me to build a strong foundation for myself.
Those experiences, along with earning my MBA, helped mold me into the healthcare administration manager I am today. They also influenced the way I approach everything outside of my career. I’m naturally organized, goal oriented, and always looking for opportunities to grow.
Outside of work, I’m known for my love of beauty, hair, and creating content that celebrates confidence and femininity. I’m proud that I’ve been able to balance a corporate career with a creative passion while staying true to who I am. I think what sets me apart is that I don’t believe women have to choose between being ambitious and embracing beauty or creativity. I’m equally comfortable leading meetings during the day and sharing my favorite beauty finds or lifestyle moments with my community, and I love showing that both can exist together.
