Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Santacroce.
Lauren, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
You know the saying, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.” Well I had plans to be a professional soccer player. A plastic surgeon. An ESPN reporter. Till the day I ultimately told God that I was ok being a tennis coach, but to please just pick something and let’s stick with it.
My journey started right here in Houston, TX. Born and raised in Spring Klein, I eventually played division one tennis for Texas A&M.
In so many ways, my life and my journey has come full circle. I went from being a sports reporter, interning at an oil & gas company, to a weekend DJ, coaching tennis, to now selling tile, stone, marble, granite, and sometimes even the fuzzy stuff – carpet.
Everything I have been through, all the ups and the downs– has made me who I am and has brought me to where I am today – back home in Houston with my family and friends, working alongside my dad.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have definitely been some bumps in the road. Personally, my biggest hurdle was post college and figuring out what I wanted to do and where I wanted to be. I ended up moving to Louisville Kentucky, and spent three years finding myself and my fire again. Louisville was a blessing – but when the opportunity presented itself for me to move back home and work for my dad – the choice was easy.
Tell us about your company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
My dad and I are partners in a company he started called — All Design Solutions. It is just the two us. We are material brokers within the construction and design industry, and we help architects, builders, contractors, designers, developers, remodelers, and homeowners find the flooring, cabinets, and countertops they need for their projects. We specialize in saving people time & money by purchasing material directly – at prices no one else can get. We basically make Instagram and Pinterest dreams a reality!
I’m most proud of my dad. He has been in this industry for over 30 years and has created a reputation of customer service, hard work, and finding/sourcing the impossible. If my dad can’t find a certain granite, marble, or tile — then it doesn’t exist.
All Design Solutions is the second company my dad has started and built from the ground up – and I’m lucky to be a part of it this time around. We’re a team — and what sets us apart is our customer service, relationships, and our knowledge and experience within the industry. We’re here to inspire you!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Whether it is luck, timing, or a lot of hard work and persistence… I wouldn’t be where i am today without it. Consistency is key, but a little luck every now and then doesn’t hurt!
