Meet Lauren Whitton of Blossom & Cove Candle Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Whitton.

Lauren, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Sometimes God plants a dream in your heart that feels impossible. You wonder:
“Where did that come from?”
“Do I really have the time?”
“Maybe one day, when the kids are older…”

That was me.

But the desire didn’t go away. In fact, when my Father passed away in 2022, the dream grew stronger than ever. Life is short, and tomorrow is not promised. I realized I couldn’t wait until “someday.”

So I took a leap of faith. I talked with my husband, rolled up my sleeves, and started. There were failures. There were nights I questioned if I had what it takes. But I kept going—and I am so thankful I did.

With the encouragement of my community, friends, and family, I’ve gone from stay-at-home mom and wife to business owner and BOSS. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been worth it.

Many people ask me where Blossom & Cove Candle Company came from. Recently at market, someone even asked, “Which one is Blossom and which one is Cove?”

The truth is, I wanted my business name to carry both my Father’s legacy and a piece of myself. He always called me his Peach Blossom, and water has always been my happy place—my cove. Together, Blossom & Cove was born.

This journey has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. To watch God take a dream I once thought was impossible and make it reality… to create with my hands and share it with you… it is more than I ever imagined.

Every candle, every wax melt, carries a piece of my heart. Thank you for allowing me to bring light, fragrance, and a little bit of love into your home.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Far from it.

In the beginning, I had no idea what I was doing or where to turn for guidance. It was overwhelming trying to figure out everything from scratch — the business side, the creative side, and everything in between.

But here’s the thing: I knew God had called me to this. And because of that, I also knew He would lead me through every obstacle, as long as I kept Him at the forefront and trusted His plan.

Every challenge became a lesson, and every setback reminded me to rely on faith over fear. Looking back now, I can see His hand in every single step of the journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Blossom & Cove Candle Company?
At Blossom & Cove Candle Company, we specialize in hand-poured pure soy wax candles and wax melts—crafted with care, faith, and a whole lot of heart. Each candle is made using 100% pure soy wax, a smokeless wood wick that gives off that cozy crackle, and clean premium fragrance oils that fill your space beautifully.

We’ve also expanded into our Home Essentials Line, which includes clear organic room sprays, natural reed diffusers, and natural car reed diffusers—each designed to bring warmth, peace, and fragrance into every corner of your life.

We’re known for our wide variety of scents—currently offering over 53 unique fragrances (and we don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon!). Beyond that, our custom labeling options, three-wick and five-wick candles, and local refillable program make us stand out as a brand that truly personalizes every experience.

What I’m most proud of, though, is our testimony. This business is more than candles—it’s a reflection of God’s goodness and faithfulness. I love getting to share that story with our customers and remind them that beauty really can rise from ashes.

We genuinely love people and cherish the connections we’ve made through this journey. Every customer becomes part of our story, and it brings me so much joy knowing they get to take a little piece of Blossom & Cove—and a whole lot of love—home with them.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Absolutely—don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. I know it can feel intimidating at first, but I promise you, it is so worth it.

I’ve learned that connections often happen when you take that first step of faith. I was blessed to have people connect me with others, and before I knew it, one introduction led to another—and those relationships have become such a big part of my journey.

Almost three years ago, I was invited to join a local women’s networking group called IWIB – Inspiring Women in Business, and I’m part of The Woodlands Chapter. It has truly been one of the biggest blessings. The women in this group are supportive, encouraging, and genuinely want to see each other succeed.

’Cause here’s the thing about it—we’re all women, we’re all entrepreneurs, and most of us are mothers and wives. We know what it feels like to juggle all the things. To have a group of women in your corner while you’re building your career, chasing your dream, or finding your purpose—it’s truly life-giving and so beneficial.

If you’re looking to grow, whether personally or professionally, surround yourself with people who lift you up, who challenge you, and who remind you that you’re capable of more than you think. Networking isn’t just about business—it’s about community, connection, and growth.
