Hi Lea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2019, I started learning about multiple streams of income. I was working a full-time job and only looking for something seasonal, not time consuming, and a low startup cost. Tax preparation sounded like a good fit for me based on what I was looking for. After doing a bit of research, I enrolled in a tax preparation course and became a Notary Public within months. 3 years later, I’m the owner of Signature Tax a tax firm currently operating virtual due to COVID located in Houston, Tx.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been somewhat of a smooth road since the pandemic. I often worried that I wouldn’t have as many clients this year, but so far I’ve surpassed my expected amount.
Outside of competing with local tax preparers that lure clients with the promise of large refunds, which is misleading because everyone is not the same. my clients are loyal because they know I’m honest.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Signature Tax is a tax firm that specializes in individual and small business tax filing.
What sets Signature Tax apart is our flat fees, we get paid when you get paid and we can file for any US state (you don’t just have to be a Texas filer to file with us).
