Today we’d like to introduce you to Lesly Chairez.
Lesly, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After having my firstborn, Naya, I didn’t know what to do with my life. Being a stay at home mom, I really wanted to be able to enjoy every second of her being little.
It was planning her first birthday party, and thinking to myself, “well I can do this, that’s easy, that’s no problem.” Well, it wasn’t easy, but there I was searching for YouTube videos and googling everything from making party treats to making balloon decorations.
To begin with, my family always supported me in everything and anything I did. They were my first customers, I started doing family birthday cakes, to decorating my nieces birthday party. All in one year.
I wouldn’t believe anyone one year or two years ago if they told me everything I have accomplished now.
Being the founder of my company, I can’t take all the credit. I wouldn’t be where I am without the help of my loving husband and family. Everything we do comes from so much love and passion, and I hope everyone can see that from my work.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has not been a totally smooth road. I think one of the struggles I dealt with the most was my pride, I tried so hard to be able to learn everything on my own, to do everything on my own, I forgot that it’s not always possible. It’s okay to go and learn something new every now and then, and it’s definitely okay to get all the help you can get.
Being a mother of two has made this path of mine hard, but not impossible. I’ve learned how to long to work for, and what days and times to work at.

Treats & Co. By L&P is an event planning business. Not only can we help you plan your next event, but we also offer a variety of services. From custom cakes, dessert tables, backdrops, and balloon decor, we also set up guest tables and chairs as well as linen rentals. And there’s much more, we add new items and services to our company weekly and it’s incredible!
Of course, we are more known for our custom desserts and cakes, we are getting more known for our full on dessert table package. Which goes from the backdrop to the table decor and of course the desserts and cakes!
We’re so proud of how far we have come, from just offering party chocolate treats, to now being able to offer your party all of your needs! We love when customers tell us that they love not needing to go find different vendors when we offer it all!
What makes us different from others? I couldn’t say, I honestly believe everyone in this business has such an incredible twist to their work, and I definitely believe that if you put in all your passion and hard work into what you do, then it’ll show in your product.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
The only thing I would’ve done differently is that I would’ve taken more chances. I said ‘no’ to so many events and orders in the past just because I thought I couldn’t do it. Because I didn’t believe in myself. I learned that it’s okay to take chances and that’s you’ll never know what you’re capable of doing unless you give it a shot!
