Today we’d like to introduce you to Lewis Grell.
Lewis, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I asked my father for my first set of turntables when I was 15 and quickly discovered my love for DJ-ing. My passion for my profession along with my entrepreneur skills led me to create LG entertainment in 2002. I started putting in the work that was required to build this company into the dynasty it is today. Since then, the company has quickly evolved into an event production company with a roster of DJs, lighting, staging productions and audiovisual elements.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. Like all successful business, we encounter challenges and obstacles, but we always bounce back, learn from our mistakes and work hard to make it ten times better the next time.
LG Event Entertainment and Production – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
LG offers a wide range of industry-best production, audiovisual and entertainment services, supported by our loyal clientele and some of Houston’s most influential brands—from Houston Fashion Week to Modern Luxury Magazine.
We are most proud of our team and the creativity that everyone brings to the table. From sales, who bring in the clients and make them feel special and well-taken care of, to our design team who brings the creativity to life visually, and of course, our production team who makes the events come together.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
A proud moment was when I saw a shipment container come in that had a value of about $250,000. It included moving heads, confetti guns, low fog and haze machines, upgraded dance floor lights, spotlights, LED screen, etc. The shipment reminded me of how much this company has grown and how much we will continue to grow.
