Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizette Hartman.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I got started watching my older brother do makeup on his clients. He gave me the push I needed to start. I trained and followed him around assisting him. I then felt like it was time to expand my trades. I enrolled at Paul Mitchell the school Houston, I got my cosmetology license then went on to work at a chain salon (the hours didn’t work with my kid’s schedules) so that was the end of that.
When I went back to doing makeup I decided it was time for it to be my own and that was the beginning of Hart My Style which has done so well. I am grateful for the people who have supported me, for the artists who have worked with me and for my husband who does all of the website and print work.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It will never be a smooth road! There will always be obstacles. For my self, I would say it’s been people I’m the industry however I tend to keep away from negativity which helps greatly.

We are an on-location hair styling and makeup application company. We specialize in special events like weddings. Quinceñera, sweet sixteen, prom, bday or just because. We offer airbrush makeup as well as traditional makeup. We make it convenient for you by coming to you!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am planning on doing my first bridal extravaganza show in January 2019! This is very exciting for me because it’ll be our first time there under my company!
