

Today we’d like to introduce you to Logan Henke.
Logan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Detailing has always been an interest of mine. Starting in high school I enjoyed taking care of my grandparent’s car, who I lived with at the time. Beginning with the basics of cleaning cars, it wasn’t long after I began to look more & more into what else I could do to greater improve the cars overall finish & protect what I’d done. It came to a point where I was out on the driveway cleaning their car 1-2 times a week, rain or shine. Of course being proud of what I’d done, I began to post pictures on my social media. My friends & other people I knew started to take notice of the pictures being posted. They commented, “Hey, mine next!”…”How much to make mine look like that?” etc. That then led to me doing friends cars on the weekends and after school. This soon grew to more than just a way of earning some extra cash to spend. Today my clients include professional athletes, business owners, a VP of a multibillion dollar company, & of course my favorite average household families with kids & pets. I firmly believe this is still just the beginning of what’s to come for Detail Evolution. But don’t be mistaken, both myself and my business are absolutely worthless without the continued support & referrals I receive from my clients.
Has it been a smooth road?
Being your own boss, people tend to think it’s quite the laid back relaxing job. When in reality it’s quite the opposite. Although I’d like to say I’m an expert when it comes to detailing, I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know everything & sometimes need advice from friends in the business. This is also true when it comes to other things such as marketing & finances. I’m actually pretty good with money, but when it comes taxes, the IRS, banks, credit cards, etc, it’s like trying to learn a whole new language. I’m very fortunate to have friends & clients willing to sit down & guide me in the right direction.
This next paragraph will be about my personal life outside of work…& that was it, hope you enjoyed it! (Haha)
My life outside of work consists of, well just work mainly. Detail Evolution is my priority, it’s my baby. I’m very proud of what’s become of it thus far. Always working & always thinking about work does take its toll on me both mentally & physically. I do set aside some time for my girlfriend. Who’s by far the most supportive person in my life & wants nothing more than to see my success. I like to think that further down the road once my business is well established I’ll have some sort of life outside of work.
Being in business for not too long now, I haven’t had all that many struggles. Which is by no means a complaint. The fewer struggles/hard times the better right? Though the bad times can also be looked at as good if you look at them with the mindset that they’re learning experiences in which you have the opportunity to better yourself & your business.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Detail Evolution – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
What’s a detailing company if all they do is show up at x location, clean your car, & leave…? Most people might think, “Well that’s what they’re supposed to do right?” Detail Evolution is all about providing a service that adds value to our clients. Over time we develop a relationship with our clients. You can name any of my customers & I’m able to list you their kid’s names, spouse’s name, and pet’s names, occupation, & one thing specific & unique to them. Why’s this? Because we take the time to get to know them. We develop a relationship. I have multiple clients who on a regular basis hand over a million dollars in keys & just simply walk away.
Customer satisfaction is by far the most important aspect of our business. This goes for any business…think of each of your customers as being worth $100,000 to your business. If you have an angry customer it’s imperative you do everything in your power to make this customer happy. Even if they don’t come back, what will they tell their friends? If you went out of your way & did whatever you could at the time to resolve the conflict then that’s what they’ll say. If not, then he’s sure to tell stories of how you just ignored him like he’s worthless & just some angry annoying customer.
Detail Evolution is completely mobile, we go to you. With our on board power & water we’re able to detail your vehicle anywhere. Parking garage, your home, grocery store, or even your favorite restaurant!
What I’m most proud of as a company is to have the great clients we do. Without their continued support we wouldn’t be much. They refer us to everyone they know & leave great reviews online.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Houston is full of opportunity! There’s definitely a sense of diversity here, but despite the abundance of cultures we all are a part of the same family “Houston” & it shows. What more could you want from your city, than the support of the city.
As for what I dislike about our city, well that’s an easy one…the traffic!
