Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
It’s a loooong story. But I picked up rapping from the homie Ramsey. He was pitching it to me like “Bro everybody f**k with you.” “You the coolest kid in the city; people naturally attract to you.” At first, I wasn’t listening to him because I was just the cool kid, yeah I’ve always loved music, but I was into fashion, poetry, and just art at the time. Even though I’ve always been confused about what my purpose was. But then I started getting into trouble while I was in Georgia, so I picked up my phone and called Ramsey told him I wanted to try rapping. He took me to Kyle, and we did two songs together and put them on SoundCloud. Bro in a month, one song hit like 1.5k, and the other hit 2.2k plays. I was shocked because keep in mind I didn’t think I was a rapper, and coming from Austin NOBODY shows love if you not live bro. So after talking with Ramsey, my big brother Ronald, and some other close homies, I decided to take it seriously and make it out of the city.
Please tell us about your art.
I create music for the intellectuals, those who want to feel fly, feel good in the moment bro. See I just started a year ago bro, March 2018, so as of now a lot of my tracks have been thrown away because they were the old me. I hadn’t got my sound together yet. I still don’t believe I do. My mind has always been ahead, and I’ve always wanted to make music like my idols (A$AP Rocky, Frank Ocean, Kanye, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, etc.) they’re creatives, and I want to go further in my own lane. Trigger the fans emotions, Make them jump with me on one track, then sit in awe of the production on the next track, and get lost in my lyrics. I’m not there yet where my tracks are gonna reflect on my message. But my message to anyone who’s listening and looks to me as a favorite or inspiration, DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY! F**K HATERS, BE WEIRD, DO YOU! Love will naturally draw to you, stay true bro.
We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
Yeah, it’s harsh out here man, when I first started, I just focused on my own work instead of looking to get linked in with other artists and not having a fanbase or my own craft down tight. How else would someone know to collab or anything with you when you haven’t established yourself yet.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My work is on Apple, Spotify, tidal, etc. Mainstream services, I don’t really do Soundcloud bro. I only use the cloud for when I want to drop a surprise track for my true fans. Sh*t they can support by playing it, putting your people on, and playing it at the functions when you spark one.
