Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Brawley.
Mark, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My business partner and I founded our company 12 years ago at the beginning of the Financial Crisis. He and I were old college buddies and we both knew that we wanted to start our own business that we could grow and mold into a leader in our industry. Our original plan was to start a residential mortgage company which we did, but the Financial Crisis quickly showed us that a small, privately owned mortgage company was not an ideal structure so we pivoted into real estate. We both had experience as real estate investors and we decided that starting a brokerage would give us more opportunity. A year later as the real estate side of our business became more profitable, we decided to focus on real estate full time and we’ve been doing that ever since. We have grown our team to 15 members and we have a plan for continued growth. We have built our company with a focus on strong leadership support, technology, and training.
Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle was making it through the Financial Crisis as a new company. We were able to stay alive and grow despite unfavorable market conditions.
