Hi Matthew, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have been in the logistics industry since 2006. I began my career as an intern for a large broker while attending college and began work immediately full-time upon graduation. I have had the pleasure of working for several great companies throughout my career and have worked with countless numbers of amazing people along the way. I formed Nico Logistics LLC in 2018 and it has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in my life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is never a smooth road as every day is a learning experience with new challenges. When we started operations in mid 2018 our goal was to get our name in front of customers and vendors and establish our roots as a hardworking, honest, and knowledgeable business. As we grew in 2019 our reputation as a company that builds trusting, lasting relationships with our customers and vendors began to blossom. As with many businesses 2020 was rough given everything going on in the world, but we were blessed to maintain and take care of our customer base while gaining new ones as well. The past two years have been amazing, and we are grateful to be able to consistently meet the logistics needs of our clients.
We’ve been impressed with Nico Logistics LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nico Logistics provides a variety of services including trucking, drayage, warehousing, and project management. We provide trucking support throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Nico Logistics LLC is a company that listens, learns, and surpasses the needs of its customers. We know every client and vendor are different and adhering to the specific requests of each one is what sets us apart from the rest.
What makes you happy?
In regards to business what makes me happy is being able to not only meet the needs of our clients but provide such an exceptional service that they are willing to tell others about us which gives us the opportunity to explore new business and establish new relationships.
