Maury, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After over 30 years spent as VP of Product Development and Design for Home and Garden Decor, I had decided to open a store that focused on these exact areas. The twist I wanted to bring to this endeavor was to support local and international Artisans and Craftspeople. In doing this, I believe we achieve the aspect of bringing to the consumers products that are unique, functional, and not readily duplicated in Mass and other Specialty stores. Certain products and designs speak to different people with varying tastes and desires. I wanted to be able to offer our customers many different types of uniquely designed products in Home Decor, Furniture, Garden Decor, Jewelry, Gifts, Personal Care, and even pet products. We have achieved this combination through dedication to fining artists that help support our mission of offering quality, unique items and affordable prices!
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been an easy task to find all the types of artists and craftspeople needed to make this work. A lot of time and searching have been done to create the current environment, and we are constantly updating our offerings. The hardest part of all of this has been trying to make this venture work through the worst pandemic of your lives. But the support of the store by our local residents from the Fort Bend, Sugar land, Stafford, Sienna areas has been overwhelming. Everyone says they are so appreciative that we have collected this amazing mixture of products together under one roof for them to shop in!!

Having traveled to the world for over 30 years searching and designing new and exciting products, I had decided to open a store that focused on bringing a great valued assortment of unique and different artisan-crafted products to our local community. The twist I wanted to bring to this endeavor was to support local and international Artisans and Craftspeople. I am quite proud of the assortment of Artisan Furniture from India, Beautiful Outdoor Garden Pottery from Vietnam, and tons of locally created products, including Original Art, Jewelry, Home Decor, and Personal Care items creating by some of the most talented artists in our area.
I believe we achieve the aspect of bringing to the consumers products that are unique, functional, and not readily duplicated in Mass and other Specialty stores. I wanted to be able to offer our customers many different types of uniquely designed products that help support our mission of offering quality, unique items and affordable prices!
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The Home Decor and decorating industry is always changing and that is what makes this store so fun to be in. We will always have the latest designs and stay on top of all trends, but remain true to our mission of being a functional gallery of artist-inspired products.
