Today we’d like to introduce you to Max Diaz.
Max, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I first picked up a guitar at age 12. On a whim, I decided to try out for my 7th-grade talent show, picked up a ukulele and played my first show ever. From there I got hooked. I started focusing on writing and picking up every instrument I could play. This was my outlet. By 13 years old, I found a way to start producing my own music and getting a following within my community. As time has passed, my fan base has grown resulting in hitting over 50K streams in a course of two months. My focus now is releasing my debut Album, finding places to perform, getting signed and continue to do what I love. Just recently I was asked to perform at Warehouse Live as an opening act. This was an incredible experience. With the stresses of high school, music is what keeps me going every day.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The process has its ups and downs. You are always your worst critic, so it may not seem good to you but seems good to others. The process of writing and producing music can be a struggle when you want it to sound perfect.
Please tell us about your work.
I would define myself as a hardworking, committed singer/songwriter and producer. My specialty is creating songs that include a good vibe and making it personal to the listener. I am the proudest of my journey and getting this far in such a short time while expanding my fanbase. The support has meant everything to me. I feel like what sets me apart from others is my complete dedication and drive to be best I can be.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory of my childhood is listening to old records with my grandparents.
