Today we’d like to introduce you to Meagan Juric.
Meagan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I remember making my first homemade pinhole camera with a piece of copper, a cardboard box and blank photo paper. It was the most fascinating thing I did in high school lol. My love for photography was nurtured in the darkroom at Westfield Highschool. I always loved art, but it was something about capturing a moment in time that made me feel the closest thing to time traveling when looking back. I went on to study at Stephen F. Austin, where my minor was in art. Although it was not something I pursued immediately, Photography was something that I was always drawn to. Although I love a good session myself, behind the camera is where I feel the most comfortable.
In 2010 I ventured off into mortgage and in 2015, there was a sweep of layoffs and that is when I started my company. I started with family and friends and eventually grew it with the help of thumbtack. (shout out to them) lol. They took me way out of my comfort zone and I was named Thumbtack’s Top Pro in 2018. From there, referrals and loyal repeat customers have been my best support.
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing worth having sometimes is easy to get, but if you are passionate about it and you have fun with it, you will always be up for the challenge. I am still learning a lot and that is OK.

JBD Photography is a Local Houston based Photography company. Our main focus is to provide you with a professional photography experience at very affordable prices. We provide a variety of packages, including albums, to keep your memories tangible. I specialize in events of all sorts. (i.e. weddings, baby showers, graduation, engagement, surprise engagement, corporate, etc.)
You will get a personal experience that you may not get with a larger company. You are not lost in a six month turn time. Our turn times range from 2-4 weeks.
