So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been an animal lover for all of my life. I rescued my first dog back in 2004 without letting any of my family member know. Since then I rescued two other little ones and even convinced my mom to adopt her little one. I have an infectious passion for animals that would like to spread to everyone around myself. While I have worked in everything from healthcare to banking, I never found anything fulfilling. It was my desire to work with animals that lead to my leaving the workforce to get educated as a groomer. After receiving my license, I was able to find an opportunity at a well-known grooming salon here in Houston and found the sense of fulfillment I had been yearning for. As I began to feel more and more confident in my skills I began considering how I can reach a wider verity of clients. My goal is to love and pamper as many puppies as I can. Having worked with rescues for a long time, the goal is to make it reasonably priced and accessible to everyone. This is how Blue Bubbles Spa came to be.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been surprisingly smooth! With my mother’s experience in starting and developing a small business she has been able to help avoid some of the pitfalls that general first time ventures tend to fall into. She has been spearheading the early planning and making sure that everything we do makes sound business sense. This showed particularly helpful when we were looking at getting the right vehicle. Find the correct balance of functionality so that we can expanded our services in the future took a high level of foresight. With that said. We are still working forward and will continue to do our best to develop this business as quickly as possible. We expect to face struggles in the future and look forward to facing them face on.

Blue Bubbles Spa is a company that puts the happiness and well-being of the pets before all else. This level of love and attention paid to every pet is what sets us apart from the average grooming company. With a focus on practical grooming techniques we ensure that the dogs we groom look and feel great. Especially with summer around the corner, your little ones will love a cut to help them beat the heat.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Pet grooming has been a growing industry year over year for over a decade. The pet care industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and continues to trend upward at a significant rate. A major shift we have seen is in the types of services offered. Over the past decade we have seen the services in demand slowly align with services provided for childcare. Pet day cares are high in demand and with people seeing their pets as their “babies”, it is fair to assume this trend will continue. We see this as confirmation as to why putting the pets first matters.
