Meet Mercy Edionwe of Health Reset 360

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mercy Edionwe.

Hi Mercy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
At Embee Lifestyle Medicine, our journey began with a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves a choice in how they achieve and maintain their health. Founded by Dr. Bandana Chawla and Dr. Munish Chawla, the clinic was created to empower individuals not only to manage disease, but in many cases to prevent, improve, and even reverse chronic conditions through the transformative power of Lifestyle Medicine. This rapidly growing field—now board-certified by physicians dedicated to its practice—focuses on six essential pillars: a predominantly whole-food, plant-based diet, regular physical activity, effective stress management, restorative sleep, avoidance of harmful substances, and meaningful social connection.

Today, we are excited to continue this mission under the direction of Dr. Mercy Edionwe, who is trained in both Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. Under her leadership, the practice remains rooted in comprehensive, compassionate internal medicine care while expanding its focus on nutrition, stress resilience, and sustainable healthy habits. Patients can look forward to a vibrant, supportive community experience—from our popular potlucks and cooking classes to innovative programs like Walk with a Doc—all designed to make health both achievable and enjoyable.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like many meaningful journeys, it hasn’t always been a perfectly smooth road. In the early days, we were building wonderful momentum—patients were actively engaged through cooking classes, potlucks, and group visits that fostered both education and community. Then the pandemic brought that energy to an abrupt pause, challenging the very heart of what we had created.

What’s been most rewarding, however, is the resilience of our community. Within about six months after the pandemic eased, that same enthusiasm and connection returned. Patients came back ready to re-engage, reconnect, and continue their health journeys—reaffirming just how powerful and lasting this approach to care can be.

As you know, we’re big fans of Health Reset 360. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Honestly, when I look at the evolution from Embee Lifestyle to Health Reset 360, I don’t see luck as the driving force—I see alignment, preparation, and timing meeting opportunity. There have been moments that might look like “good luck” from the outside—being in the right rooms, connecting with the right people, or recognizing the growing demand for lifestyle medicine at just the right time. But those moments were only meaningful because there was already a foundation: years of medical training, a deep understanding of chronic disease, and a clear vision for doing things differently. On the flip side, what some might call “bad luck”—delays, administrative hurdles, credentialing challenges, or even the emotional weight of building something new while balancing clinical responsibilities—has actually refined the mission behind Health Reset 360. Those challenges forced clarity, strengthened systems, and ensured that what’s being built is not just another clinic, but a more intentional, patient-centered experience. So rather than luck defining the journey, it has been about stewardship—taking every opportunity or obstacle and shaping it into something purposeful. Health Reset 360 exists not by chance, but by design, built from both the lessons and the momentum that came before it.
