At one point before starting the business, I was stressed! I found it challenging trying to balance work in clinical and academic research, being a wife, and a mother of 3 children all close in age. I needed help and was so relieved when I found it. It was just so good to have someone help me manage things at home when I could not.
So when moving to The Woodlands, we were not sure where to turn for help with our children. We could truly appreciate the frustration of families in need of reliable childcare and the challenges in identifying appropriate help. Especially when being new to an area. We began to see a need in the area for in-home childcare and started to do some homework. It was surprising to us there was not an established agency based in the area. The Woodlands was a great market for such a service. So In a short matter of time, we started the agency to support the North Houston area.
This lead to the creation of Nannies of The Woodlands. The Secret of Super Moms.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. We have had growing pains along the way and learned many lessons that new business encounter.
We learned to seek wise counsel from other entrepreneurs and value their advice.
