Meet Michael Daniels

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Daniels.

Hi Michael, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a 22-year-old self-taught fashion & beauty photographer. I picked up photography as a hobby in my senior year of high school. My first camera was a Canon T6i. At first, I didn’t really see myself pursuing photography as a career. That all changed in October 2020 when I started to do research on how to make money from photography & how to make it as a fashion photographer. That month, I told myself that I would go full time by next October. By October 2021, I was able to quit my job & pursue my passion for photography full time. It was the best feeling ever. Since then, I have been learning more & more about the industry. I have been able to check off some of my short term goals & I have been published in multiple magazines/articles which was one of my main short term goals. I moved to Houston in August of 2022 from Central Florida with new goals and looking forward to what’s next for me as a creative!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle has been staying focused & confident. Sometimes I can get caught up in looking into my future and thinking about the stuff I haven’t done yet. This causes me to lose confidence sometimes but I just have to remind myself to be patient, remain positive & keep doing me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in fashion & beauty photography. I am known for my natural editing skills, being good at working with all skin tones & making the client feel comfortable.
